Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)

Show your support by wearing a purple ribbon this month. Rise to the Challenge to end domestic violence in our community. Educate yourself about domestic violence. Volunteer your time or skills. Partner with your class, workplace, church, or organization to raise awareness in your community. Visit Marathon County Public Library in Wausau for an informational display.

NCHC will be hosting The Women’s Community as part of their Brown Bag Lunch Series to discuss our services and opportunities to collaborate. The purpose of the series is to bring community partners together to the open lines of communication and get up-to-date information on how we can serve, refer, or make connections for clients. Representatives from community service providers are encouraged to attend, and share information within their agencies.

This engaging presentation by Samantha Komosa of The Women’s Community prepare you for how to be an active bystander and a supportive listener while covering other important things you should know about someone who is experiencing domestic violence and seeking support.
