What is the responsibility of media and law enforcement in reporting incidents that involve minority populations? Join us in a facilitated community conversation that brings together news media\, law enforcement and the public to talk about the impact of media coverage of incidents involving minority populations\, including undocumented residents. How does this coverage affect public perceptions of policing? How does it affect public perceptions of minorities? \n\n\n\n\n\n\nScott Parks \nSheriff\nMarathon County Sheriff’s Office \n\n\n\n\nScott Parks started his career with Marathon County Sheriff’s Office on December 24\, 1979 and currently serves as the Marathon County Sheriff. Throughout his career he has worked as a Deputy Sheriff (Corrections\, Patrol Field Training Officer)\, a Narcotics Investigator\, a Detective\, and Lieutenant (Patrol\, Special Investigations Unit\, Detective). \nREAD MORE\n\n\n\n\n\nChris Conley \nOperations Manager\nWSAU \n\n\n\n\nChris Conley joined WSAU in 2004 as News Director and morning news anchor\, became Brand Manager\, and then in 2009 was named Operations Manager for the Midwest Communications broadcast group in Central Wisconsin. \nREAD MORE\n\n\n\n\n\nMark Treinen \nNews Director\, Central Wisconsin\nWatchdog Team Leader\, USA TODAY Network-Wisconsin \n\n\n\n\nMark Treinen is the top editor for the Wausau Daily Herald as well as daily newspapers in Marshfield\, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids. In addition\, he leads a team of 20 journalists on a USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin watchdog and investigations team. \nREAD MORE\n\n\n\n\n\nYauo Yang \nHmong Liaison\, D.C. Everest School District\nPastor\, The Cross \n\n\n\n\nYauo Yang is the Hmong Liaison for D.C.
