DESCRIPTION:Greenwood Hills Country Club is once again holding their Make A Difference Mondays fundraiser for The Women’s Community and other local non-profits. \nMADM Golf Day Events are open to anyone who wants to play a great golf course and help make a difference in the Wausau Area.\nCall to set up a tee time and help Greenwood Hills Country Club make a difference in the Wausau area. 715-849-1772\n\nOn the Monday dates listed on this page\, the public can make tee times and play at Greenwood Hills for just $65/player including a cart. Don’t have time for 18 holes? Play 9 holes for just $40 including a cart.\n\nGreenwood Hills Country Club will donate $20 of every 18 hole green fee and $10 of the every 9 hole green fee\, in your name\, to a Wausau area charity that you select from their MADM partner list below.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMararathon County Humane Society\nNever Forgotten Honor Flight\nThe Women’s Community\nSusan G. DESCRIPTION:Show your support by wearing  a purple ribbon this month.  Rise to the Challenge to end domestic violence in our community.  Educate yourself about domestic violence.  Volunteer your time or skills.  Partner with your class\, workplace\, church\, or organization to raise awareness in your community. Visit Marathon County Public Library in Wausau for an informational display. \n  \nSaturday\, October  1st\, 2016\n13th Annual Block Party\n3200 Hilltop Avenue\, Wausau\, WI\n10-1 pm \nThe Women’s Community celebrates DVAM with a community block party.  Free food\, games\, prizes\, and entertainment will be provided. \n  \nTuesday\, October .4\, 2016\nIntersection of  Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse\nNorth Central  Technical College (Wausau Campus) \nMain Building E101\n11:30 a.m.— 1:00 p.m. \nIn recognition of October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month\, the AOD Partnership will be partnering with The Women’s Community to raise awareness on the link between mental health\, substance abuse and domestic violence.  CEUs: 1 Free CEU offered. This engaging presentation by Samantha Komosa of The Women’s Community prepare you for how to be an active bystander and a supportive listener while covering other important things you should know about someone who is experiencing domestic violence and seeking support. \n
