We offer a Wednesday Night Children’s Group for children in families affected by domestic abuse or sexual assault because children may need help in coping with the emotions and stresses they’re experiencing. They may feel scared, guilty, anxious, traumatized, irritable, protective, ashamed, angry or unprotected. They may act out with ambivalence, feel burdened to take care of family members, start having difficulty in school, run away, experiment with drugs or alcohol, or have difficulty concentrating.
Statistics show that children who live in abusive families or are themselves abused are more likely to become abusers themselves. Let’s stop the cycle. We’re here to help every member of your family heal.
