Children, adolescents and teens who live in homes where domestic violence occurs and those who have been sexually assaulted must cope with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional challenges. The Women’s Community provides minors who have witnessed abuse, been abused or sexually assaulted with confidential support groups, counseling and advocacy in a supportive atmosphere.
Wednesday Night Children's Group and Childcare. For children of all ages who have witnessed or whose mothers have been affected by domestic and/or sexual abuse. We help children cope with their exposure to domestic or sexual violence. Together, we can make your child feel safe, decrease their anxiety, improve school readiness and help them express their anxieties. Leadership Dance Group. A youth group that utilizes traditional dance to help youth learn about teamwork, supporting other youth, and developing leadership skills. Times vary. Please contact Hlee for information at Hlee@womenscommunity.org.
